Buttercup Room

The Buttercup room is a spacious and homely room for our babies and toddlers.  The room is led by an Early Years Teacher and a caring staff team who get to know you and your child.  Each child is assigned a key person who is you main point of contact.  They will provide activities based around your  child’s interests to encourage their development and help them to strive.

In the Buttercup room we have a large open plan area which holds 9 children at any one time.  We have a carpeted area along with a hard floor where a variety of different activities go on each day.

We aim to encourage the children to be independent within the room; washing their hands before mealtimes and helping with tidying up routines.  As the children get older they also move from a highchair to sit at the table and start to use plates and open top cups ready for their transition to the Sunflower room.

The children have access to the garden and a soft play area on a daily basis and we have buggies which enable us to go out for walks within the community.

Within the room there is a separate well equipped sleep area where your child can relax in peace, comfort and safety.

We aim to follow the routine of your child at home as much as possible, making coming to nursery a home from home environment.
