Information Regarding Teddies Nursery Staying Open For Vulnerable Children and Children of Key Workers

Dear Parent/Carer,

On Wednesday 18th March 2020 the Prime Minister announced that although schools and nurseries were closing from Monday 23rd March 2020, we will remain open for the children of key workers and vulnerable children.

The government has now released the official list of key workers which can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-maintaining-educational-provision/guidance-for-schools-colleges-and-local-authorities-on-maintaining-educational-provision

If you are a key worker then please complete this form https://bit.ly/2WtAhEZ and provide us with  your details and what your childcare requirements might be.

We have been asked to make clear that it is very important that we minimise the number of children in nursery. This is because we will be looking after the children of NHS workers. If their children become infected, then they cannot attend work. The more children we have, the more likely this is to happen. It is also more likely that your child may become infected and therefore you would have to self-isolate for 14 days. In order to minimise the chance of transmission, we are required to send children home immediately if they are displaying symptoms with the instruction that the whole household need to self-isolate.

It is vital that if you require childcare from Monday 23rd March 2020, that you have completed the form by 14:00 today (Friday 20th March 2020) if possible.

We thank all parents and carers for your support in these challenging times. By us all working together in the best way, we will beat this challenge.
